The Team:

As a Web Developer at RA you will undertake a hands-on development role alongside other talented full stack developers, collaboratively building scalable web applications within a lean agile environment.

We currently have 2 main web teams (London and Sydney) and also a team of app developers (iOS and Android native). We have recently embarked on a journey to rewrite our main web application in React and .Net Core.

At this level we are looking for someone who has experience working in agile development teams that can hit the ground running.

We keep an open mind with most of our platform and we are always looking to continuously improve our tech, tools and practices.

The role requires a mixture of both backend and frontend web development experience gained using a range of web technologies.

Below is a list of tech, tools and practices that we currently use (including legacy) or are quickly moving towards. If this list and the challenge appeals to you, then we’d definitely like to hear from you:

  • .Net Core, ASP.NET MVC, WebForms, Web API
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • MS SQL Server
  • Automated testing (Unit, Integration, Acceptance)
  • TDD, Moq, Dependency Injection
  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and DevOps
  • React
  • Redux
  • GraphQL
  • Single Page Apps
  • Progressive Web Apps
  • Jest / Enzyme
  • Webpack
  • Modern JS - ES2018+
  • Styled Components
  • Flow / Typescript
  • Atomic Design
  • Storybook
  • Server side rendering
  • Mobile first design
  • Prettier / AirBnB linting rules

Of course experience with as much of the above is preferable, but above all we look for talented people who have a generally good understanding of development and the desire and ability to learn
