Marketing and Communications Manager

Job purpose:


RA is seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager to shape and deliver an innovative communications strategy for the world's largest electronic music platform. In this newly created role, the Marketing & Communications Manager will work closely across all RA departments to develop strategies that drive community engagement and increases the awareness of RA at both a local and global level.  Drawing on a proven pedigree of executing successful culture-led marketing campaigns, your ideas and passion will significantly influence the way we communicate our brand, content, products and services with our readers and the wider music community. The right candidate will relish the responsibility and opportunity to transform the communications approach for one of the world's most exciting music media brands.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Define the marketing and communications strategy for RA’s brand, content, products and services that align with the company's overall strategy and vision.

  • Successfully execute RA and RA Tickets brand strategies and ensure this guides marketing and communications decision making across the business.

  • Work with department heads to improve the launches of all major content and projects from a marketing perspective, including editorial, film, and events.

  • Work with our Head Of Product to improve the way we communicate and launch our products and services (ie. app/ap improvements, new site features and improvements) - B2C+B2B - across all relevant channels.

  • Work with our Social Media Manager to devise and implement strategies that consistently grow social media numbers and levels of cross-platform community engagement.

  • Work across divisions to develop ways to grow RA’s brand, audience, reach, and digital engagement across all key channels.

  • Research and analyse emerging RA markets to inform decision making on delivering community engagement at a local level.

  • Localise campaigns when required. Work with ambassadors and translators to adapt marketing materials for local markets when the project requires it.

  • Own our B2B communication of key projects to partners, artists and wider music industry.

  • An understanding of, and commitment to, issues of diversity and inclusion, with experience of creating marketing initiatives that engage broad and diverse audiences.

Who we’re looking for:

  • 3-5 years marketing experience with a breadth of knowledge across core marketing functions including content, digital, PR and events.

  • A creative thinker with an energetic approach to producing innovative marketing campaigns autonomously or through collaboration with stakeholders.

  • An outstanding project manager with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time, and on budget, and fulfills strategic objectives.

  • Experience of understanding budgets (both income and expenditure), monitoring KPIs and understanding data and analysis to inform decision-making.

  • Great visual literacy and understanding of the key principles of branding.

  • An understanding of cultural trends in art, music, design, fashion, demonstrated by your creative idea delivery across previous successful projects.

  • Social media and digital marketing experience is mandatory.

  • Ability to brief copywriters and designers.

  • Integrated multichannel marketing campaign planning and delivery.

  • Post campaign review and analysis for key project stakeholders.
